북한인권법 제9조(북한인권증진을 위한 국제적 협력)

① 국가는 북한인권증진을 위한 인적교류ㆍ정보교환 등과 관련하여 국제기구ㆍ국제단체 및 외국 정부 등과 협력하며, 북한인권증진에 대한 국제사회의 관심을 제고하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다.

② 제1항에 따른 북한인권증진을 위한 국제적 협력을 위하여 외교부에 북한인권대외직명대사(이하 "북한인권국제협력대사"라 한다)를 둘 수 있다.

③ 북한인권국제협력대사의 임무ㆍ자격 등에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
