부패방지 및 국민권익위원회의 설치와 운영에 관한 법률 제66조(책임의 감면 등)

① 신고등과 관련하여 신고자의 범죄행위가 발견된 경우 그 신고자에 대하여 형을 감경하거나 면제할 수 있다. <개정 2019.4.16>

② 공공기관의 장은 신고등과 관련하여 발견된 위법행위 등을 이유로 관계 법령 등에 따라 신고자에게 징계나 불리한 행정처분을 하는 경우 그 징계나 불리한 행정처분을 감경 또는 면제할 수 있다. <개정 2022.1.4>

③ 신고등과 관련하여 발견된 위법행위 등을 이유로 신고자에게 징계를 하거나 불리한 행정처분을 하는 경우 위원회는 신고자의 징계권자나 행정처분권자에게 그 징계나 행정처분의 감경 또는 면제를 요구할 수 있다. 이 경우 요구를 받은 자는 정당한 사유가 있는 경우 외에는 그 요구에 따라야 한다. <신설 2022.1.4>

④ 신고등의 내용에 직무상 비밀이 포함된 경우에도 다른 법령, 단체협약 또는 취업규칙 등의 관련 규정에 불구하고 직무상 비밀준수의무를 위반하지 아니한 것으로 본다. <개정 2019.4.16, 2022.1.4>
