도로교통법 제13조(차마의 통행)

① 차마의 운전자는 보도와 차도가 구분된 도로에서는 차도로 통행하여야 한다. 다만, 도로 외의 곳으로 출입할 때에는 보도를 횡단하여 통행할 수 있다.

② 제1항 단서의 경우 차마의 운전자는 보도를 횡단하기 직전에 일시정지하여 좌측과 우측 부분 등을 살핀 후 보행자의 통행을 방해하지 아니하도록 횡단하여야 한다.

③ 차마의 운전자는 도로(보도와 차도가 구분된 도로에서는 차도를 말한다)의 중앙(중앙선이 설치되어 있는 경우에는 그 중앙선을 말한다. 이하 같다) 우측 부분을 통행하여야 한다.

④ 차마의 운전자는 제3항에도 불구하고 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우에는 도로의 중앙이나 좌측 부분을 통행할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.22>

⑤ 차마의 운전자는 안전지대 등 안전표지에 의하여 진입이 금지된 장소에 들어가서는 아니 된다.

⑥ 차마(자전거등은 제외한다)의 운전자는 안전표지로 통행이 허용된 장소를 제외하고는 자전거도로 또는 길가장자리구역으로 통행하여서는 아니 된다. 다만, 「자전거 이용 활성화에 관한 법률」 제3조제4호에 따른 자전거 우선도로의 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 2014.1.28, 2020.6.9>
