국가공무원법 제37조(시험의 공고)

① 공개경쟁 채용시험, 공개경쟁 승진시험 또는 경력경쟁채용시험을 실시할 때에는 임용예정 직급ㆍ직위, 응시 자격, 선발 예정 인원, 시험의 방법ㆍ시기ㆍ장소 , 그 밖에 필요한 사항을 대통령령등으로 정하는 바에 따라 공고하여야 한다. 다만, 제28조제2항 단서에 따라 다수인을 대상으로 하지 아니한 시험의 경우에는 공고하지 아니할 수 있다. <개정 2011.5.23, 2012.12.11, 2015.5.18>

② 원활한 결원 보충을 위하여 필요하면 근무예정 지역 또는 근무예정 기관을 미리 정하여 공개경쟁 채용시험을 실시할 수 있다. 이 경우 그 시험에 따라 채용된 공무원은 대통령령등으로 정하는 기간 동안 해당 근무 지역 또는 근무 기관에 근무하여야 한다. <개정 2015.5.18>
