관세법 제118조의2(관세청장의 납세자 권리보호)

① 관세청장은 직무를 수행할 때 납세자의 권리가 보호되고 실현될 수 있도록 성실하게 노력하여야 한다.

② 납세자의 권리보호를 위하여 관세청에 납세자 권리보호업무를 총괄하는 납세자보호관을 두고, 대통령령으로 정하는 세관에 납세자 권리보호업무를 수행하는 담당관을 각각 1명을 둔다.

③ 관세청장은 제2항에 따른 납세자보호관을 개방형직위로 운영하고 납세자보호관 및 담당관이 업무를 수행할 때 독립성이 보장될 수 있도록 하여야 한다. 이 경우 납세자보호관은 관세ㆍ법률ㆍ재정 분야의 전문지식과 경험을 갖춘 사람으로서 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하지 아니하는 사람을 대상으로 공개모집한다.

④ 관세청장은 납세자 권리보호업무의 추진실적 등의 자료를 일반 국민에게 정기적으로 공개하여야 한다.

(4) The^ð더 Commissioner커미셔너 of어^v브 the^ð더 Korea코^r리아 Customs커스텀즈 Service서^v비스 shall섈 regularly^r레귤럴리 disclose디스클로우즈 to투 the^ð더 general제너^r럴 public퍼블릭 materials머티^r리얼즈 such서치 as애즈 the^ð더 performance퍼^f포먼스 of어^v브 the^ð더 work워크 of어^v브 protecting프^r러텍팅 taxpayers'택스페이어즈 rights.^r라잇츠

⑤ 납세자보호관 및 담당관은 세금 관련 고충민원의 처리 등 대통령령으로 정하는 직무 및 권한을 가지며, 납세자보호관 및 담당관의 자격 등 납세자보호관 제도의 운영에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
