고용정책 기본법 제18조(한국고용정보원의 설립)

① 고용정보의 수집ㆍ제공과 직업에 관한 조사ㆍ연구 등 제40조에 따라 위탁받은 업무와 그 밖에 고용지원에 관한 업무를 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여 한국고용정보원을 설립한다.

② 한국고용정보원은 법인으로 한다.

(2) The^ð더 Korea코^r리아 Employment엠플로이먼트 Information인^f퍼메이션 Service서^v비스 shall섈 be비 a어 corporation.코퍼^r레이션

③ 한국고용정보원은 고용노동부장관의 승인을 받아 분사무소를 둘 수 있다. <개정 2010.6.4>

⑤ 정부는 예산의 범위에서 한국고용정보원의 설립ㆍ운영에 필요한 경비와 제4항제1호부터 제6호까지의 사업에 필요한 경비를 출연할 수 있다. <개정 2014.1.21>

⑥ 한국고용정보원에 관하여 이 법과 「공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률」에 규정된 것 외에는 「민법」 중 재단법인에 관한 규정을 준용한다.

⑦ 한국고용정보원은 업무수행에 필요한 자료의 제공을 국가기관, 지방자치단체, 교육ㆍ연구기관, 그 밖의 공공기관에 요청할 수 있다.

⑧ 한국고용정보원의 임직원은 「형법」 제129조부터 제132조까지의 규정을 적용할 때에는 공무원으로 본다.

⑨ 한국고용정보원의 임직원이나 임직원으로 재직하였던 사람은 그 직무상 알게 된 비밀을 누설하거나 다른 용도로 사용하여서는 아니 된다.
