5ㆍ18민주화운동 관련자 보상 등에 관한 법률 제18조(사실조사 및 협조의무)

① 보상심의위원회는 이 법에 따른 보상 등을 위하여 관련자ㆍ증인 또는 참고인으로부터 증언 또는 진술을 듣거나 필요하다고 인정하는 경우에는 검증 또는 필요한 조사 등을 할 수 있으며, 행정기관이나 그 밖의 관계 기관에 필요한 협조를 요청할 수 있다.

② 제1항에 따라 협조 요청을 받은 관계 기관은 다른 업무에 우선하여 이를 처리하고, 그 결과를 지체 없이 보상심의위원회에 통보하여야 한다.
