4ㆍ16세월호참사 피해구제 및 지원 등을 위한 특별법 제40조(4ㆍ16재단에의 출연 등)

① 국가는 다음 각 호의 사업을 수행하여 4ㆍ16세월호참사 희생자를 추모하고 대형 재난사고 재발 방지 등에 이바지하고자 설립되는 재단(「민법」 제32조에 따라 설립된 비영리법인으로서 제37조제2항제3호에 따라 지원ㆍ추모위원회가 선정한 재단을 말하며, 이하 "4ㆍ16재단"이라 한다)에 대하여 설립 후 10년 동안 출연 또는 보조할 수 있다. <개정 2022.6.10>

② 국가등은 제36조에 따라 조성ㆍ건립된 추모시설의 운영ㆍ관리 등 추모사업을 4ㆍ16재단에게 위탁할 수 있다.
