4ㆍ16세월호참사 진상규명 및 안전사회 건설 등을 위한 특별법 시행령 제9조(증인 등의 보호)

① 위원회는 4ㆍ16세월호참사의 진상을 규명하는 데 필요한 정보를 제공하거나 증거 또는 자료를 제출한 자의 신상을 공개해서는 아니 된다. 다만, 본인의 허락이 있는 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다.

② 위원회는 위원회의 위원, 위원회의 업무와 관련된 증인 또는 참고인 등(이하 "증인등"이라 한다)이 다른 사람으로부터 생명ㆍ신체에 위협을 받거나 받을 염려가 있다고 인정되는 때에는 관계 기관에 해당 위원이나 증인등의 신변보호를 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 위원회의 요청을 받은 관계 기관은 정당한 사유가 없으면 요청에 따라야 한다.
