이사회는 해당 지방연구원의 설립목적에 현저히 위배되는 행위가 지속되었을 때에는 재적이사 2분의 1 이상의 찬성으로 지방연구원의 해산을 결의할 수 있다. 다만, 서면에 의한 결의는 할 수 없다.
