유아교육법 시행령 제5조(유아교육위원회의 구성)

① 중앙유아교육위원회 및 시ㆍ도 유아교육위원회(이하 "유아교육위원회"라 한다)는 위원장 1명과 부위원장 1명을 포함한 9명 이상 15명 이하의 위원으로 성별을 고려하여 구성한다. 이 경우 중앙유아교육위원회의 위원에는 「지방교육자치에 관한 법률」 제42조제1항에 따라 설립된 협의체가 추천하는 사람이 포함되어야 한다. <개정 2025.12.23>

② 유아교육위원회의 위원장(이하 이 조에서 "위원장"이라 한다)은 유아교육위원회를 대표하며, 유아교육위원회의 직무를 총괄한다.

(2) The^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 of어^v브 an앤 Early얼리 Childhood차일드후드 Education에저케이션 Committee커미티 (hereinafter히^r리내^f프터 referred^r러^f퍼드 to투 as애즈 the^ð더 "chairperson"체어퍼슨 in인 this^ð디스 Article)아터클 shall섈 represent^r레프^r리젠트 the^ð디 Early얼리 Childhood차일드후드 Education에저케이션 Committee커미티 and앤드 exercise엑서사이즈 overall오우^v버^r롤 control컨트^r로울 of어^v브 its잇츠 affairs.어^f페어즈

③ 위원장은 유아교육위원회의 회의를 소집하고 그 의장이 된다.

(3) The^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 shall섈 convene컨^v빈 meetings미팅즈 of어^v브 the^ð디 Early얼리 Childhood차일드후드 Education에저케이션 Committee커미티 and앤드 serve서^v브 as애즈 their^ð데어 presiding프^r리자이딩 officer.오^f퍼서

④ 유아교육위원회의 부위원장은 위원장을 보좌하며, 위원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 그 직무를 대행한다.

(4) The^ð더 vice^v바이스 chairperson체어퍼슨 of어^v브 an앤 Early얼리 Childhood차일드후드 Education에저케이션 Committee커미티 shall섈 assist어시스트 the^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 and,앤드 where웨어 the^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 is이즈 unable어네이블 to투 perform퍼^f폼 his히즈 or오 her허 duties두티즈 for^f포 unavoidable어너^v보이더블 reasons,^r리즌즈 shall섈 act액트 on안 his히즈 or오 her허 behalf.비해^f프

⑤ 공무원이 아닌 위원의 임기는 2년으로 하며, 한 차례만 연임할 수 있다. 다만, 보궐위원의 임기는 전임자 임기의 남은 기간으로 한다.
