영화 및 비디오물의 진흥에 관한 법률 제38조의3(공공 영화상영관)

① 국가와 지방자치단체는 지역 영화 향유권 향상을 위하여 지역 주민을 위한 영화상영관을 설치 또는 운영할 수 있다.

② 국가와 지방자치단체는 제1항에 따라 영화상영관을 설치 또는 운영하는 경우 그 업무의 전부 또는 일부를 개인이나 단체에 위탁할 수 있다.

③ 국가와 지방자치단체는 제1항에 따른 영화상영관의 설치 또는 운영에 필요한 지원을 할 수 있다.
