① 조합 및 중앙회는 다음 각 호의 기준에 따라 명칭을 사용하여야 한다. <개정 2017.11.28, 2025.9.16>

1. 지구별 수산업협동조합은 지구명을 붙인 수산업협동조합의 명칭을 사용할 것

2. 업종별 수산업협동조합은 업종명(양식방법을 포함한다) 또는 품종명을 붙인 수산업협동조합의 명칭을 사용할 것. 이 경우 주된 사무소의 소재지가 속한 지방자치단체의 명칭을 함께 사용할 수 있다.

3. 수산물가공 수산업협동조합은 수산물가공업명을 붙인 수산업협동조합의 명칭을 사용할 것. 이 경우 주된 사무소의 소재지가 속한 지방자치단체의 명칭을 함께 사용할 수 있다.

② 이 법에 따라 설립된 조합과 중앙회가 아니면 제1항에 따른 명칭 또는 이와 유사한 명칭을 사용하지 못한다. 다만, 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 법인이 조합 또는 중앙회의 정관으로 정하는 바에 따라 승인을 받은 경우에는 제1항에 따른 명칭 또는 이와 유사한 명칭을 사용할 수 있다. <개정 2016.5.29>
