소비자기본법 제31조(자율적 분쟁조정)

①제29조의 규정에 따라 공정거래위원회에 등록한 소비자단체의 협의체는 제28조제1항제5호의 규정에 따른 소비자의 불만 및 피해를 처리하기 위하여 자율적 분쟁조정(紛爭調停)을 할 수 있다. 다만, 다른 법률의 규정에 따라 설치된 전문성이 요구되는 분야의 분쟁조정기구(紛爭調停機構)로서 대통령령이 정하는 기구에서 관장하는 사항에 대하여는 그러하지 아니하다.

②제1항의 규정에 따른 자율적 분쟁조정은 당사자가 이를 수락한 경우에는 당사자 사이에 자율적 분쟁조정의 내용과 동일한 합의가 성립된 것으로 본다.

③제1항 본문의 규정에 따른 소비자단체의 협의체 구성 및 분쟁조정의 절차 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
