상법 제699조(해상보험의 보험기간의 개시)

①항해단위로 선박을 보험에 붙인 경우에는 보험기간은 하물 또는 저하의 선적에 착수한 때에 개시한다.

②적하를 보험에 붙인 경우에는 보험기간은 하물의 선적에 착수한 때에 개시한다. 그러나 출하지를 정한 경우에는 그 곳에서 운송에 착수한 때에 개시한다.

③하물 또는 저하의 선적에 착수한 후에 제1항 또는 제2항의 규정에 의한 보험계약이 체결된 경우에는 보험기간은 계약이 성립한 때에 개시한다.
