상법 제144조(공시최고)

①송하인, 화물상환증소지인과 수하인을 알 수 없는 때에는 운송인은 권리자에 대하여 6월 이상의 기간을 정하여 그 기간 내에 권리를 주장할 것을 공고하여야 한다.

②제1항의 공고는 관보나 일간신문에 2회 이상 하여야 한다. <개정 1984.4.10>

③운송인이 제1항 및 제2항의 규정에 의한 공고를 하여도 그 기간내에 권리를 주장하는 자가 없는 때에는 운송물을 경매할 수 있다. <개정 1984.4.10>
