산림조합법 제117조(중앙회의 지도)

① 회장은 이 법에서 정하는 바에 따라 회원을 지도하며, 이에 필요한 규정 또는 지침 등을 정할 수 있다.

② 회장은 회원의 경영상태를 평가하고 그 결과에 따라 그 회원에게 경영개선, 합병권고 등의 필요한 조치를 요구할 수 있다. 이 경우 조합장은 그 사실을 지체 없이 공고하고 서면으로 조합원에게 통지하여야 하며, 조치결과를 조합의 이사회 및 총회에 보고하여야 한다.

③ 회장은 회원에 대하여 그 업무의 건전한 운영과 조합원 또는 제3자의 보호를 위하여 필요하다고 인정할 때에는 해당 업무에 관하여 정관 또는 공제규정의 변경, 업무의 전부 또는 일부의 정지, 재산의 공탁ㆍ처분 금지 등 필요한 처분을 시ㆍ도지사에게 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2020.2.18>
