보호관찰소의 장은 보호관찰대상자가 다른 보호관찰소의 관할구역안에 거주하고 있는 사실이 확인된 때에는 별지 제33호서식의 보호관찰사건이송서에 관계기록을 첨부하여 신주거지를 관할하는 보호관찰소의 장에게 이송하여야 한다.
