변호사시험법 제5조(응시자격)

① 시험에 응시하려는 사람은 「법학전문대학원 설치ㆍ운영에 관한 법률」 제18조제1항에 따른 법학전문대학원의 석사학위를 취득하여야 한다. 다만, 제8조제1항의 법조윤리시험은 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 법학전문대학원의 석사학위를 취득하기 전이라도 응시할 수 있다.

② 3개월 이내에 「법학전문대학원 설치ㆍ운영에 관한 법률」 제18조제1항에 따른 법학전문대학원의 석사학위를 취득할 것으로 예정된 사람은 제1항 본문의 응시자격을 가진 것으로 본다. 다만, 그 예정시기에 석사학위를 취득하지 못하는 경우에는 불합격으로 하거나 합격 결정을 취소한다. <신설 2011.7.25>

③ 제1항 및 제2항에 따른 응시자격의 소명방법은 대통령령으로 정한다. <개정 2011.7.25>

④ 법학전문대학원의 장은 시험 응시자의 자격에 관하여 법무부장관 또는 그 응시자가 확인을 요청하면 그 자격을 확인하여 주어야 한다. <개정 2011.7.25>
