법무부감찰위원회 규정 제3조(위원회의 구성)

①위원회는 위원장 1인 및 부위원장 1인을 포함한 7인 이상 13인 이내의 위원으로 구성한다.

②위원은 법무부ㆍ공소청 소속공무원과 법무행정에 대한 관심과 사회적 신망이 높고 경험이 풍부한 법조계ㆍ학계ㆍ언론계ㆍ경제계ㆍ여성계ㆍ시민단체의 외부인사 중에서 법무부장관이 성별을 고려하여 임명 또는 위촉하되, 그 중 3분의 2 이상은 외부인사로 위촉하고, 전체 위원 중 법조계 인사는 2분의 1 이하로 위촉하여야 한다. <개정 2020.4.28, 2026.9.29>

③위원장과 부위원장은 위원들의 의견을 들어 공무원이 아닌 위원 중에서 법무부장관이 각각 위촉한다.
