도로교통법 제137조의2(자료의 요청 등)

① 시ㆍ도경찰청장은 운전면허를 소지한 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포의 체류지 또는 거소를 확인하기 위하여 필요한 경우에는 경찰청장을 거쳐 법무부장관에게 해당 체류지 또는 거소 정보의 제공을 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.22>

② 시ㆍ도경찰청장은 운전면허증 발급을 받으려는 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포가 본인인지를 확인하기 위하여 필요한 경우에는 경찰청장을 거쳐 법무부장관에게 해당 등록외국인이나 외국국적동포의 지문정보의 제공을 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2020.12.22>
