남북교류협력에 관한 법률 제2조(정의)

1. "출입장소"란 군사분계선 이북지역(이하 "북한"이라 한다)으로 가거나 북한으로부터 들어올 수 있는 군사분계선 이남지역(이하 "남한"이라 한다)의 항구, 비행장, 그 밖의 장소로서 대통령령으로 정하는 곳을 말한다.

2. "교역"이란 남한과 북한 간의 물품, 대통령령으로 정하는 용역 및 전자적 형태의 무체물(이하 "물품등"이라 한다)의 반출ㆍ반입을 말한다.

3. "반출ㆍ반입"이란 매매, 교환, 임대차, 사용대차, 증여, 사용 등을 목적으로 하는 남한과 북한 간의 물품등의 이동(단순히 제3국을 거치는 물품등의 이동을 포함한다. 이하 같다)을 말한다.

4. "협력사업"이란 남한과 북한의 주민(법인ㆍ단체를 포함한다)이 공동으로 하는 환경, 경제, 통계, 학술, 과학기술, 정보통신, 문화, 체육, 관광, 보건의료, 방역, 교통, 농림축산, 해양수산 등에 관한 모든 활동을 말한다.
