금융산업의 구조개선에 관한 법률 제1조(목적)

이 법은 금융기관의 합병ㆍ전환 또는 정리 등 금융산업의 구조개선을 지원하여 금융기관 간의 건전한 경쟁을 촉진하고, 시장상황의 급격한 변동에 따라 금융기관의 일시적인 유동성의 부족 등으로 금융의 중개기능이 원활하지 못한 경우에 금융기관의 자본 확충 등을 위하여 신속하게 자금지원을 하여 금융업무의 효율성을 높임으로써 금융산업의 균형 있는 발전과 금융시장의 안정에 이바지함을 목적으로 한다.
