국립외교원법 제7조(교육생)

① 「외무공무원법」 제10조제1항 단서에 따른 외교관 후보자는 정규과정 교육생으로 입교한다.

② 제6조제2항에 따른 직무과정에 입교하는 교육생은 외교부장관이, 제6조제3항에 따른 교육과정에 입교하는 교육생은 원장이 각각 선발한다. <개정 2013.3.23>

③ 제1항에 따른 정규과정 교육생에게는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 보수와 그 밖의 실비(實費)를 지급한다.

④ 원장은 제1항에 따른 정규과정 교육생이 교육기간 중 교육훈련 성적이 나쁜 경우 등 교육을 지속하기 어렵다고 판단하는 경우에는 퇴교시킬 수 있다. 이 경우 구체적인 퇴교사유 및 퇴교절차 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
