과학기술유공자 예우 및 지원에 관한 법률 제2조(정의)

1. "과학기술인"이란 이학ㆍ공학 등의 분야와 이와 관련되는 학제 간 융합 분야(이하 "과학기술 분야"라 한다)에서 연구개발 및 기술혁신 활동에 종사하는 사람으로서 대통령령으로 정하는 사람을 말한다.

2. "과학기술유공자"란 과학기술인 중에서 국가 과학기술 발전에 이바지한 공적이 현저한 사람으로 제7조에 따라 지정된 사람(사망한 자를 포함한다. 이하 같다)을 말한다.

3. "연구기관 등"이란 과학기술 분야의 연구개발 및 기술혁신 활동을 수행하는 대학, 정부출연연구기관 및 기업부설연구소 등으로서 대통령령으로 정하는 기관을 말한다.
