과학기술기본법 제14조(기술영향평가 및 기술수준평가)

① 정부는 새로운 과학기술의 발전이 경제ㆍ사회ㆍ문화ㆍ윤리ㆍ환경 등에 미치는 영향을 사전에 평가(이하 "기술영향평가"라 한다)하고 그 결과를 정책에 반영하여야 한다.

② 정부는 과학기술의 발전을 촉진하기 위하여 국가적으로 중요한 핵심기술에 대한 기술수준을 평가(이하 "기술수준평가"라 한다)하고 해당 기술수준의 향상을 위한 시책을 세우고 추진하여야 한다.

③ 정부는 기술영향평가를 실시하는 경우 대상기술의 성격을 고려하여 성별 등 특성분석이 반영될 수 있도록 하여야 한다. <신설 2021.4.20>

④ 기술영향평가와 기술수준평가의 범위 및 절차 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다. <개정 2021.4.20>
