과학기술기본법 제13조(과학기술예측)

① 정부는 주기적으로 과학기술의 발전 추세와 그에 따른 미래사회의 변화를 예측하여 그 결과를 과학기술정책에 반영하여야 한다. <개정 2014.5.28>

② 정부는 제1항에 따른 예측(이하 "과학기술예측"이라 한다)의 결과를 바탕으로 새로운 기술을 발굴하고 개발할 수 있도록 노력하여야 한다. <개정 2014.5.28>

③ 과학기술정보통신부장관은 과학기술예측을 위하여 필요하면 관계 중앙행정기관의 장, 지방자치단체의 장, 기업ㆍ교육기관ㆍ연구기관의 장, 과학기술 관련 기관ㆍ단체의 장에게 필요한 자료의 제출을 요청할 수 있다. <개정 2010.12.27, 2013.3.23, 2014.5.28, 2017.7.26>
