공중화장실 등에 관한 법률 제9조(개방화장실)

① 공공기관의 장은 다음 각 호의 경우를 제외하고는 해당 시설물에 설치된 화장실을 공중이 이용하도록 제공하여야 한다.

② 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 대통령령으로 정하는 규모 이상의 법인 또는 개인 소유 시설물에 설치된 화장실에 대하여 해당 시설물을 소유하거나 관리하는 자와 협의하여 공중이 이용할 수 있도록 개방화장실로 지정할 수 있다.

③ 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 제1항 및 제2항에 따른 개방화장실을 설치한 시설물에는 공중이 이를 알 수 있는 위치에 표지를 부착하여야 한다.

④ 제1항부터 제3항까지에서 규정한 사항 외에 개방화장실의 지정 절차, 운영방법 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 시ㆍ군ㆍ구의 조례로 정한다.
