Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Fostering of and Support for the Insect Industry, Article 6 (Types of Insects and Rearing Standards, etc.)
① 법 제11조제2항에 따른 유통 또는 판매 가능한 곤충의 종류는 별표 2와 같다. <개정 2016.2.11>
(1) The types of insects that may be distributed or sold under Article 11 (2) of the Act are as specified in Annex 2.
② 법 제11조제2항에 따른 유통 또는 판매 가능한 곤충의 사육기준은 별표 3과 같다. <개정 2016.2.11>
(2) The rearing standards for insects that may be distributed or sold under Article 11 (2) of the Act are as specified in Annex 3.
③ 법 제11조제2항에 따른 유통 또는 판매 가능한 곤충의 규격은 다음 각 호의 구분에 따른다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2018.12.18>
(3) The specifications of insects that may be distributed or sold under Article 11 (2) of the Act shall be according to the following classification:
1. 장수풍뎅이
1. Japanese rhinoceros beetle:
가. 1등급: 성충 68mm 이상, 유충 30g 이상
(a) Grade 1: adults of 68 mm or more, larvae of 30 g or more;
나. 2등급: 성충 50mm 이상부터 68mm 미만까지, 유충 25g 이상부터 30g 미만까지
(b) Grade 2: adults of 50 mm or more but less than 68 mm, larvae of 25 g or more but less than 30 g; and
다. 3등급: 성충 50mm 미만, 유충 25g 미만
(c) Grade 3: adults of less than 50 mm, larvae of less than 25 g; and
2. 장수풍뎅이 외의 곤충: 규격 제한 없음. 다만, 사람의 생명ㆍ신체와 생태환경에 대한 피해 등을 방지하기 위하여 규격을 제한할 필요가 있는 경우에는 농림축산식품부장관이 곤충의 종류와 규격을 정하여 고시할 수 있다.

However, where it is necessary to limit specifications to prevent harm to human life and body and the ecological environment, etc., the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs may determine and publicly notify the types and specifications of insects.
