가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률 제35조(외국의 방식에 따른 증서의 등본)

① 재외국민이 그 나라의 방식에 따라 신고사건에 관한 증서를 작성한 경우에는 3개월 이내에 그 지역을 관할하는 재외공관의 장에게 그 증서의 등본을 제출하여야 한다. <개정 2015.2.3>

② 대한민국의 국민이 있는 지역이 재외공관의 관할에 속하지 아니하는 경우에는 3개월 이내에 등록기준지의 시ㆍ읍ㆍ면의 장 또는 재외국민 가족관계등록사무소의 가족관계등록관에게 증서의 등본을 발송하여야 한다. <개정 2015.2.3>
